A Few Words

About Me

Zdravko | Artist & Observer

Based in Belgrade, Zdravko (b. 1980) creates work that explores Conceptual Contemporary Art.

With a foundation in Old Byzantine icon painting (Šumatovačka, 2012/13) his current work focuses on the ‘Casual Art’ movement—finding the extraordinary within the mundane.

Exhibitions:

  • 2013 | Final Exhibition, Šumatovačka Art Center, Vračar, Belgrade

  • 1998 | Group Exhibition, Zavičajni muzej, Jagodina

From his first exhibition at the Jagodina Museum (1998), Zdravko has remained committed to one goal: capturing the atmospheric pulse of the ‘in-between’ moments by different artistic methods.

Dynamic abstract art with vivid blue and gold textures, perfect for creative backgrounds.

Finding the Extraordinary in the In-Between

Art is a Daily Bread, Not a Luxury.

I believe art doesn’t belong solely in silent galleries or behind velvet ropes. It belongs on the kitchen table, near the unmade bed, and in the light of a Tuesday afternoon. I create for the living, not just the collecting.

The Beauty of the Mundane.

There is a profound philosophy in the “ordinary.” A chipped coffee mug, the way rain hits a window, or the specific blue of a 4:00 PM shadow—these are my muses. If it is part of a life well-lived, it is worthy of a canvas.

Honesty in Every Layer.

I choose the ‘casual’ stroke because life doesn’t happen in straight lines. From the raw textures of oil to the fluid uncertainty of watercolor, I embrace the mark-making process as it truly is. Rejecting the stillness, I am making room for the paint—and the viewer—to breathe.

Mindfulness in Motion.

To paint is to pay attention. My work is a commitment to staying awake to the world. I capture the fleeting pulse of the present moment.

Connection Through the Canvas.

My Art is an invitation. It asks the viewer to slow down and recognize their own daily rituals as art. We are sharing a way of seeing.
